I. COVID Testing
At Boston Prep, health and safety is our number one priority. We ask for your help, as families, in a few ways.
Keep your child home if they are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19. If you believe your child is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please immediately contact our nurses, Ms. Golafaie, Ms. Etheart and Ms. Fenoglietto, at nurses@bostonprep.org. Our nurses will partner with you to determine whether your child must remain home from school and for how long.
If you have not yet registered your child for our FREE COVID testing program, please do so now!
II. Executive Director Update
Sharon Liszanckie, our Executive Director, is dealing with a health issue, and is currently out of the building through February Break. We wish her a speedy recovery and will keep our community updated on her progress. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach to the people about the work that they lead:
III. Middle School Cell Phone Policy
As of January 5th, 2022, Boston Prep will be a phone-free Middle School to improve teaching and learning! We will be using a system called Yondr to achieve this goal. Yondr has been used across the world in over 1,000 schools to encourage people to engage with each other, their surroundings, and learning, and not with the distraction of technology.
Please take the time to review the new Middle School Cell Phone policy, included here. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school directly and please watch this informational video.
In an effort to best serve your child, we appreciate your full support in adoption of the Yondr Program at our school.
IV. Upcoming Family Town Hall
The 2022 dates for our Family Town Halls will be published soon. Please visit our website to view the dates. To register for future Family Town Halls, please register here.
We are eager to have as many families as possible join us for this Town Hall so that we can continue to partner together to ensure Boston Prep is an excellent, equitable school for all.
