Meet Jodalis, Valedictorian of the Class of 2016

For the sixth year in a row, 100% of Boston Prep's graduating seniors have been accepted to four-year colleges.  Jodalis Gonzales, valedictorian of the Class of 2016, is one of the many Boston Prep seniors looking forward to joining a college campus in the fall.

Academically, Jodalis has been a four-year member of the National Honor Society.  Her strong academic performance enabled her to be accepted into the competitive Harvard Crimson Summer Academy, where she lived on campus for three summers and participated in rigorous Harvard courses.

Jodalis has been a strong leader in extracurricular activities as well.  She is a founding member and captain of Boston Prep’s volleyball team.  In addition, she founded the Spanish Club, based in her desire to teach middle school students about the vastly different cultures that exist within the Hispanic and Latino communities.

A teacher described Jodalis as a student with “an unrivaled academic prowess, an unyielding willingness to lend a helping hand, and a high propensity to live with high integrity.”

Jodalis will pursue her passion for science and technology at the College of the Holy Cross this fall.

We are incredibly proud of not only Jodalis but all of our seniors.  Please join us at graduation on June 13 to celebrate their tireless effort and dedication as they step into the next phase of their journey to college success.  Graduation will be held at 6PM on June 13 in Metcalf Hall within the George Sherman Student Union at Boston University.
