I. Our Regular Schedule

This week, we resume our regular daily schedule.  After school activities, including office hours with teachers, begin this week.

II.  Dress Code Reminder

We would like to ask for your help ensuring students arrive to school in appropriate dress, aligned with the dress code, every day.  In particular, we want to call attention to the following guidelines:

  • Only Boston Prep branded shirts (maroon polo in middle school; approved branded options in high school)

    • We know that you may be awaiting the arrival of shirts that you ordered (particularly high school students).  If your child does not yet have their Boston Prep shirts, any solid colored collared shirt can be worn until September 13.

  • No jeans, leggings, or yoga pants

  • No ripped clothing

Please read the entire dress code in detail, as linked below, and reach out with any questions. Other than the one exception named above (solid colored collared shirts for those who are awaiting their Boston Prep shirts), students should be in attire that fully meeting the dress codes.  Starting September 13, if students are not wearing a uniform top when they arrive at school, they will be asked to wear a loaner. Thank you for your help ensuring a positive learning environment that celebrates our shared school pride.

III. Chromebook Reminder

As a reminder, all students in grades 7-12 should bring their Chromebook – fully charged – to school every day.

IV. Dismissal and Bus Reminders:

In order to maintain a smooth dismissal, we have put in place some dismissal procedures that we ask all families to adhere to.

  • If your child usually takes the yellow school bus to and from school but you plan on picking them up or would like them to take the MBTA instead, on any given day, please call the front office at 617-333-6688 no later than 10am to inform them of this change.

  • There is absolutely no parking in front of the school / Boston Prep sign to wait for a student at arrival or dismissal. Parking prevents cars and buses from moving through the path seamlessly and efficiently.

  • Yellow school buses can arrive at bus stops 15 minutes before the assigned time and may arrive up to 15 minutes after the assigned time.  We appreciate your timeliness, patience, and understanding.

V. Physical/Immunization Record Reminder

Students are required to submit an up-to-date physical exam record from their doctor each year. If your child has had their annual physical exam and you have not yet submitted the exam record, please either drop the record off at the school or fax a copy to the nurses at 617-333-6689.

VI.  Upcoming Family Town Halls

Family Town Halls will be held every three weeks.  Family Town Halls are interactive dialogues, bringing families and faculty together to discuss how we can continue to work together to build a better school.  Our next Town Hall will be held on Wednesday, September 15 at 6:00PM.  Please click below to join us on Zoom!  You can view the complete list of upcoming Family Town Halls - and register for them now - on our website.
