COVID-19 Supports

We are dedicated to ensuring our alumni continue to succeed in college despite the numerous challenges related to COVID-19. Alumni, if you are in need of any support at this time, please reach out to Mr. Canto, Director of the Persistence Project. We can provide support to address any challenge you are facing, whether it is campus closures, WiFi connectivity, access to a laptop, access to food, access to campus resources such as tutoring and the writing center, and more.

 

Alumni Resources

The resources below provide guidance and instructions for some of the tasks you will need to complete throughout your college career. For worksheets, go to File —> Make a Copy, and Google Docs will create your own editable version of the document, where you can insert your personal information.

  • Emergency Microgrant Application: Students with demonstrated financial need can apply for emergency funds to ensure continued college progress. Emergency funds are defined as expenses that would prevent a student from starting or returning to school to continue his or her education. Emergency funds are typically granted for the following reasons: unpaid tuition, academic materials, summer courses, unpaid internships/opportunities, transportation or other approved emergency circumstances.

  • FAFSA Instructions: To apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, work study, and loans, you need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). These step-by-step instructions walk you through the process.

  • Loan Counseling & MPN Instructions: Entrance counseling is a mandatory process that is intended to help the borrower (the student) better understand the responsibilities that they will be taking on. All first time borrowers must complete loan counseling loans will not be disbursed until this process is completed. These step-by-step instructions walk you through how to complete the loan counseling process.
